Probate is granted to Elizabeth Rowe of St. John’s Widow. Elizabeth Rowe’s Petition states Richard Taylor Penney died "in or about the month of November A.D. 1838", and Richard Taylor Penney’s Widow Frances "was married in or about the year of our Lord 1841 to Francis Pike of Clown’s Cove, Planter". This Petition identifies Elizabeth Rowe as the Widow of Edward Rowe, beneficiary of Richard Taylor Penney’s Will. See Notes for Elizabeth Penney, wife of Edward Rowe, for further information.
